Casio EXILIM EX-Z60 Reviews from camera owners

My prime camera is a Nikon 8800 but I wanted to have a small camera to put in my pocket so I purchased the Casio EXILIM EX-Z60. I am very pleased with it. The quality of the pictures is very good and the ease of operation is outstanding. Nikon could learn from it. I highly recommend this camera. The ‘best picture’ mode and the ‘easy’ mode are great.

My girlfriend bought the Casio Exilim EX-Z60 digital camera the other day as it was on sale in a supermarket for £140 (something like $260 in the US?) and due to a lack of specs on the box, I was a bit dubious and strongly advised something with an Olympus lens like a Mju model. She got it anyway. After messing about with it for a good hour or so, I am humbled; firstly, the screen is huge - easily the biggest I've ever come across on a camera of this price. Secondly, the 6MP pics come out very sharp outdoors, and pretty good inside too...the anti-shake feature seems to just add noise, but that's a minor quibble; the high quality video more than makes up for it. I like to fiddle with stuff like manual focus, ISO and aperture and didn't expect those kind of features here; wrong again, and there's also an "easy" mode so my girlfriend - who couldn't care less about such things - can just point & shoot. As I'm currently without a digital camera I'll definitely be "borrowing" it for my FX photography in future. NB:- in the pack we bought it included a respectable case but a less-than-respectable 256MB SD card; if you're gonna be taking 6MP pics then that won't last long.
