The real work doesn't begin until all the photos are in the right library. Aperture works on the basis of projects and you can make various folders within each project. One for portraits, for example, or a selection for the web page or book. The files themselves can stay were they were; only references are saved in the library. No copies are made and this saves a lot of disk space. You can also make Smart Albums, something that the average Mac OS X used has been familiar with for a long time. With Smart Albums, you can look in the libraries, even with dynamic content.
