The PRO X CompactFlash cards reduces the wait time between shots, so more images in less time could be made as a result of the write speed of 4MB/sec. David Abbott claims that the PRO X CompactFlash card is twice as fast as standard CompactFlash cards that are on the market today. The PRO X CompactFlash cards incorporate "Xcell" multitasking technology with a new advanced controller that provides an exponential increase throughput for writing the picture file, delivering fast, accurate recording of high-resolution images. The new line of PRO X cards will be available in capacity range from 256MB to 1GB. SimpleTech customers are also offered a free trial of PhotoRescue software. Once registered, customers can download the photo recovery software onto their computer, and either insert the Flash card into a reader, or dock their camera, and view thumbnail images of their pictures. If one of the images on the card is corrupted, the rescue software can be purchased, and the image recovered.
