Konica is introducing a new model of its digital camera series on the occasion of the Photokina 2002 event, which takes place from the 25th to 30 September 2002 in Cologne, Germany. The Konica Revio C2, which possesses 1.2 megapixels and an extremely narrow housing in credit card format, will come in the autumn of 2002 on the market.
The Konica Revio C2 is extremely small and compact - credit card format -, although the C2 is running on two conventional and nearly everywhere available AAA batteries. The body made of metal gives the C2 a classical appearance. The design is simply, however attractive, with an objective cover, which functions at the same time as a main switch.
The 1.2 Megapixel resolution supplies a good image quality and is ideal for those photo-graphers, who would like to send the images away by Internet or place their images online. The use of a CMOS sensor saves a lot of energy. The new Konica has a very fast start-up time of only 1 second and the shutterlag has also been reduced.

The Konica Revio C2 is equipped with several functions like a close-up mode (30cm), several flash settings and a movie mode with a maximum of 10 seconds movie. The new C2 has a 2x digital zoom and has on the back of its slim body a 1.6" LCD display.
