European introduction of the new Rollei d210 motion
The new Rollei d210 motion from Rollei is a 2 Megapixel entry-level digital camera combining interesting features and excellent value for money. Ideally suited for first-time digital-camera users, the new Rollei d210 motion offers 2.1 Megapixels, a movie mode and a host of manual features for creative picture-taking. The Rollei d210 motion is fitted with an f/2.8-5.6 D-Rolleigon lens. A 2x digital zoom can be used both for shooting and during playback. The focusing range lies between 0.7 m and infinity, macro focusing between 0.3 m and 0.8 m. Shutter speeds range from 1/2 to 1/500 s. Its manual controls make the Rollei d210 motion ready for versatile applications: Image quality can be varied from normal to fine and superfine to suit different subjects and purposes. White-balance settings include Auto, Sun, Shade, Tungsten and Fluorescent. Various flash modes - Auto, Fill-in, Off and Red-eye reduction - leave ample room for a wide range of shooting conditions. Camera settings are displayed on an LCD and an easy-to-read 1.6" TFT color monitor.
Still images are recorded in JPEG, EXIF and DPOF formats, video clips in AVI Motion (M-JPEG), either in the camera's 8MB internal memory or on an SD card. The image quality is selectable in Superfine, Fine or Normal in a resolution of 1600x1200 or 800x600 pixels.

The camera has along with a USB interface, a video output which can be chosen between NTSC and PAL. For power the new Rollei d210 motion uses 2x AA batteries (alkaline, NiCd or NiMH), the dimensions are 105x44x55mm and the camera has a weight of 120g (without batteries and SD card). The Rollei d210 motion comes with MGI PhotoSuite VI SE and Photo Vista software, USB and video cables, wrist strap and two size AA batteries.
