Pretec announces 6GB CompactFlash type II card
We had already a glimpse during the last PMA 2003 event where we covered this show live from the show floor, but we had promised to give it a low profile until March 12. Today we can tell you more about the new CompactFlash type II 6GB announcement from Pretec. Pretec has a booth at the CeBIT 2003 event in Hall 23 where they announced their new 6GB CF card, we had already heard a market price, but this will be first checked out again before we publish it. The new CF card will be delivered by the second half of this year. Pretec is one of those rather small brands that has been consistently demonstrated the highest CF card of the world. It started in 1998 (64MB), 80MB in 1999 to 1.5/2 and 3GB in 2002 during the Comdex in Las Vegas. And now they announce the highest of all - the 6GB CompactFlash type II card.

However other leading brands will make some more noise as well and we are expecting more high capacity CF announcements this event and an absolutely groundbreaking price, so keep focus on the LetsGoDigital CeBIT 2003 coverage where we will announce this news very soon!
