Highly recommend the Sanyo Xacti C6. Great photos and video. If you want to capture precious family moments, this is a must have. I was somewhat reluctant about the purchase price but have come to view this item as being worth every penny... and then some.

I received my new Sanyo Xacti C6 camera 2 days ago and have barely put the thing down. My first reaction along with others I have shown it to is that the camera is so incredibly small. It will comfortably and unobtrusively fit into a top shirt pocket or pants pockets. All that said, It is definitely not a camera for one handed operation. My average Australian sized right hand just simply could not hold and operate the thumb controls at the one time, without a lot of uncomfortable jiggling and fussing about. I found that the camera was easier to hold and use with the left hand, which then led me to wrap the right hand around, as in a pistol grip, which immediately provided stability and smoothness of operation. Setup was simple with a battery charge required and the SD card slotted in. The menu system is comprehensive and instinctively easy to navigate using a small joystick like button. There are the usual auto controls and enough options available to satisfy the most ardent of hands on photophiles. Once the drop jaw smallness of the unit was reckoned with I then went on to take numerous photos utilising all the various menu settings. The quality of the photos were as you would expect for a 6mp camera, quite delightful. The colours are realistic and lively, detail is sharp and well defined and the 5x optical zoom first class, even low light photos presented well. This Sanyo camera was specifically improved to work better than the superseded Xacti C5 in low light situations. The movies produced from this tiny marvel are simply amazing. The clarity, high definition sound and colours are nothing short of amazing. As you may realise apart from the awkward operational ergonomics of the tiny machine I am thoroughly delighted with my purchase to date.
