The Kodak EasyShare C643 is my third camera and I wish I had got this sort of camera first. With bad eyesight the 2.4 screen is easy to see under all light conditions. Since I enjoy plants, the close-up zoom takes incredible pictures of flowers under all light conditions. Like all cameras, the auto setting is the easiest choice for taking great pictures, but if you wish to play around a bit, the other settings are just as good. The only thing I found different was that there is no warning of the battery level until it starts to run low, but apart from that it is a very good camera for beginners and not-so-beginners.

I really like my Kodak EasyShare C643. This is my first digital camera, and it couldn't be any easier to use! In fact, I didn't even need to read the instructions to start taking great pictures. In auto-mode it is as simple as clicking the button half-way to auto-focus then upon hearing the beep to press the button the rest of the way. I do suggest that you purchase a 512K or 1G expansion SD memory card as the 32K which is built into the camera will not hold a huge number of pictures. I have found that I can even take great pictures indoors with just normal room lighting without flash by setting the exposure time to .5 or .7 seconds. All in all, I think the Kodak EasyShare C643 is a great digital camera for first-time digital camera buyers.

The Kodak EasyShare C643 is truly one of the best digital cameras I have come across. To actually take a camera out of the box and instantly take beautiful pictures and be able to crop and etc... come on, this has got to be a shocker for the digital cam world. I have played with the Cybershot 200 with 7.2 mp, and I prefer the Kodak C643. This camera is truly a sleeper and I am loving every picture. I take pictures in the dark of my friends and family and to actually see the pictures come out clear like it was day and the funny thing is when I took the pictures I couldn't even see the subject. My goal in buying a digi cam was to take night shots and have the image quality of an expensive digital cam. All this is what I recieved. Again... what a beautiful camera.
