Fujifilm FinePix S3 Pro Reviews from camera owners

We've used both the Fujifilm FinePix S2 and FinePix S3 for studio work on products for brochures and web work. The Fuji S3 Pro offers a real advantage over other DSLR's because of the wide D range. It makes a big difference under the studio lights. The down side is slow operation, RAW is snail pace. So it's not for action or sports. But for general work and portraits, properly set up and making use of the custom white balance, the Fuji FinePix S3 will deliver supberb results. Inerestingly, we recently bought a D200. Great camera for events and action but the colour is not in the same league as the S3, especially in high Jpeg. Hoping Fuji will very soon deliver the overdue FinePix S4 Pro!

Slow, but sure. That's what I think of the FujiFilm FinePix S3 Pro. It makes great images: they are sharp, the colors are superb, the skin tone colors are amazing, it works great with broncolor & visatek lighting systems. I use this camera for commercial, fashion & travel work. It's not a photojournalist tool! The downfall: it has a slow buffer, and the battery is really bad (you really need a 4-pack spare).

The Fujifilm FinePix S3 Pro is the very best DSLR camera on the market for wedding & portrait work. Great images and no colour casts like all the other main makes. AA battery power last or 600 frames and if they go down and you forgot your spares everybody sells them. Wide dynamic range and lots of colour temperature settings makes this a must for social photographers wherever you have to take your pictures and under any lighting conditions. Get one of these Fuji S3 Pro cameras, you wont regret it.

Beautiful digital camera. Have found black marks though, which are not caused by the lens. They appear in the same spot each time. Fuji Australia sent me a loan s3 pro whilst mine is being looked at. There are marks in the loan one too. Is this happening to anyone out there?

I have only had my Fuji FinePix S3 pro digital camera for a few days now, but it seems that the learning curve is not as difficult as I thought it might be. I guess reading the reviews and a lot of information about the camera and its workings beforehand gave me an advantage. I purchased a Nikon 17-35 2.8 AF-S lens for about what I paid for the camera and the results are just plain fantastic. I also played around with the wide range of ISOs that come with the camera functions and I'm amazed at the light gathering capability of the camera and this fast zoom lens. I bought the FinePix S3 Pro camera for use as a wedding photographer and have yet to use this combo for a shoot, but I'm looking very forward to it.
