No optical zoom; 1.5 Mp but excellent picture quality; sturdy build (metal casing); rather quick for an 'old' digicam; still working (6 years!); needs an extenal cardreader fot its SM -cards (RS232c is Slow...); uses only 2 AA batteries (with 2300 MaH they last forever....) A very good beginner or snapshot digicam!
