Sony Cybershot DSC T1 Conclusion

The expectation is that Sony will bring the Cyber-shot DSC-T1 camera on the market in January 2004. The first impression of this camera is that the design adds to the quality and durability of the camera. The body feels very solid and a lot of attention is paid to the small details which also lead to a positive experience. The presence of the large LCD screen (2.5-inch) shows the right direction in which the screens should be going, to my opinion. The remembrance of the moment is not well-considered anymore on a 1.5-inch screen! We are working with images and we like to see these images straight away in their full glory! The DSC-T1 doesn't leave anything else to wish for on this subject.

The DSC-T1 can be the forerunner of what is still to come. The model looks very good and it would not be a bad idea if Sony brings in some family members! And maybe also a bit of colour.

The next few months will be concentrated on the Christmas season. Unfortunately the DSC-T1 won't be ready to put under the X-mas tree this year. The first quarter of 2004 will find itself loaded with a complete new generation of digital cameras from all manufacturers. The CES show in January will be the first show in the first quarter and after that the PMA show, in Las Vegas, which will be the most important one in the first half of 2004. We are preparing for an unequalled show. Also expecting that the year 2004 may be a very important year for the digital imaging industry. The second half of 2004 will be centred around the Photokina, held in Cologne, Germany. But it is not there yet, and at least we have been able to give you the first impression of the first Sony model coming out in the year 2004.
