RolleiRollei dc3100 digital camera introduction : The new Rollei dc3100 is a 3.1 Megapixel camera and is equipped with a 3x optical zoom and a 4x digital zoom. The camera has a 1/2.7-inch 3.1 MP image sensor resulting in an effective image resolution of 2048x1536 pixels. The new Rollei dc3100 is meant for starting photographers. The new digital camera will be available around August 2003. Due to its extended automatic functions the Rollei dc3100 is a very easy-to-use camera to start your first shooting with a digital camera. The compact designed body, the user-friendly concept and the various automatic exposure modes make the Rollei dc3100 digital camera the perfect camera to learn all about digital photography in a most easy and fast way.

The optical system of the Rollei dc3100 digital camera results into a high image quality in all its focal range. The minimal focus distance is in Macro mode 10-50cm and in Normal mode from 50cm to infinity. The high resolution of 3 Megapixels is good enough to ensure a high photo realistic print. Handy for the entry level photographer is the automatic white balance and the automatic exposure correction. Those functions take care of the settings for a correct exposure.

To ensure the correct metering the Rollei dc3100 digital camera has various flash modes like automatic flash, fill-in flash, anti-red-eye function, night mode and flash of. On the back of the camera is a 1.5-inch LCD display attached. Via this display all the still images and video clips can be viewed. The video clips are recorded in a resolution of 320x240 pixels. Through the video interface of the camera the Rollei dc3100 can be connected with a television set. The images are recorded in JPEG format. The Rollei dc3100 digital camera is using an internal memory of 16MB and an external Secure Digital or MultiMedia card as a storage medium.
