EMG iTheater system
Excellent Media Group Co.'s iTheater system, which incorporates Kopin's BDM-230K binocular display module in a compact eyewear weighing just 2.4 ounces. The iTheater system features a stylish, ergonomically comfortable design, and provides a large QVGA-resolution (320 x 240) color image equivalent to a 35-inch-diagonal screen viewed at a distance of seven feet.
Estar EVG230 MagicEye Cinema
Hong Kong Estar Systech Ltd.'s EVG230 MagicEye Cinema, which incorporates the BDM-230K and has integrated batteries in the stems of the eyewear. The power is automatically turned on/off by detecting the video signal. It comes with thin, soft rubber eye covers that give the user more immersive experiences. The EVG230 MagicEye Cinema is combined with a 4-gigabyte portable media device that plays movies, videos and games.
Icuiti DV920 Digital Video Eyewear
Icuiti's DV920 Digital Video Eyewear, winner of the Design Award at the 2005 and 2006 Consumer Electronics Show, incorporates two Kopin CyberDisplay VGA color microdisplays to provide a 3D stereoscopic VGA-resolution (640 x 480) image. The DV920 is now available at the Sharper Image retail and online stores.
Myvu Personal Media Viewer
MicroOptical Corp.'s myvu Personal Media Viewer, which incorporates two CyberDisplay 230K color microdisplays with QVGA resolution, uses proprietary optics for compact stylish eyewear. French Telecom's Orange has launched the mobile video service with MicroOptical's eyewear.
Shenzhen Cyberman GVD510-3D
Shenzhen Oriscape Electronic Co. Ltd.'s Cyberman GVD510-3D, which incorporates two CyberDisplay VGA microdisplays, provides a 3D stereoscopic virtual image equivalent to a 40-inch flat-panel screen at a distance of seven feet. The Cyberman GVD510-3D plays media from sources such as DVD players, personal media players, PCs, portable TV tuners and cell phones. Users can also play the Nintendo GameCube, PlayStation and Microsoft Xbox video games.
Shenzhen Portable Display Player
Shenzhen Seepu Technology Co. Ltd.'s Portable Display Player model DV230, which incorporates a BDM-230K, features a stylish design with integrated earphones on the stems of the eyewear. It is comfortable to wear and runs on a rechargeable battery commonly used for mobile phones.
Visiking Technology VBA-230K
Visiking Technology Co. Ltd.'s VBA-230K, which incorporates a BDM-230K, is plug-in compatible with an iPod. It weighs 3.3 oz and runs for five hours on two AA batteries.
Welton TPH-03 private Cinema
Welton Electronics Ltd.'s Techwood TPH-03 private Cinema uses two CyberDisplay VGA color microdisplays. The eyewear can be connected to devices such as the portable DVD player (included) and a variety of popular game consoles including PlayStation, PlayStation2, Xbox and GameCube.
