HPHP Vivera Inkjet print cartridge : When used with HP Advanced Photo Paper, HP 110 Tri-color Inkjet Print Cartridge inks allow customers to produce vibrant, long-lasting, water-resistant prints. New HP Vivera dye-based inks are formulated to pass key water resistance tests developed by HP: Full Immersion, Standing Water, Evaporation, Standing Water Blotted, Water Spray, Water Drip, and Wet Smudge. The new ink and paper combination is HP’s first solution for compact photo printers rated as ‘water resistant’ based on HP testing criteria. New dye-based HP Vivera Inks are formulated for superior handling. When printing on instant-dry HP Advanced Photo Paper, prints can be handled immediately from the printer without smudging.

The printer’s ability to deliver durable water-, smudge- and scratch-resistant prints results from a new Porous-Optimized Chromophore (POC) technology, optimized ink formulations, and innovative paper coating technologies in the new HP Advanced Photo Paper. The strong affinity between these colorants and HP’s newest porous photo media designed for ultimate compatibility with the ink, paper and HP’s newest generation of compact photo printers results in fast drying, exceptionally durable, waterresistant prints.

HP Vivera - HP advanced photo paper
Prints produced with the HP 110 Tri-color Inkjet Print Cartridge and HP Advanced Photo Paper resist fading for generations when displayed under glass or in an album. Although longer term display of any type of photo (inkjet or non-inkjet) should be behind glass or other protection, HP recognizes the importance of photo printing technology that is highly resistant to the effects of airborne pollutants. For unprotected prints displayed in home or office environments, such as on a bulletin board, desk or refrigerator door, new dye-based HP Vivera Inks offer ozone fade resistance that exceeds typical dayto-day display applications - approximately 8 to 10 years when used with HP Advanced Photo Paper.

HP Vivera Inkjet print cartridge - Fade resistant
Prints produced with HP 110 Tri-color Inkjet Print Cartridge inks and HP Advanced Photo Paper are approximately 10 times more ozone-fade resistant than prints produced on HP Advanced Photo Paper with previous generation HP dye-based inks, such as the HP 95 Tri-color Inkjet Print Cartridge inks. Image permanence, which essentially describes how long a photo will last, is determined by how well the photo resists various degradation factors. For example, a photo displayed unprotected on a bulletin board may experience noticeable changes such as fading due to light exposure (light fade) or air pollutants.

HP Vivera Cartridge - Industry standart
The method for estimating light-fade resistance involves a calculation of image resistance to fade after accelerated light exposure. Wilhelm Imaging Research, Inc., (WIR) is an independent test lab that has stringently defined the methods and criteria necessary for estimating light-fade resistance in ‘Years’. HP, along with several other major brands, supports the continued use of WIR as the industry standard. Based on general industry practices, WIR has also defined methods for predicting ozone fade resistance and thermal degradation resistance; the HP Image Permanence Lab methodology for these attributes is similar to WIR’s. To determine potential susceptibility to air pollutants, HP calculates image resistance to fade after exposing products to highly elevated ozone concentrations.
