HP Tri color ink - Scratch resistance
The HP 110 Tri-color Inkjet Print Cartridge features HP’s first dye-based ink set fully optimized for HP Advanced Photo Paper. The inks are designed to deliver key photo printing attributes: excellent image quality, reliable performance, and durability (including water and scratch resistance). The third attribute, durability, is particularly challenging since a durable photo must be scratch resistant and tolerant to water, air pollutants, and light exposure. For maximum fade resistance, it is also necessary for all inks within the set to maintain an acceptable color balance.

Ink sets that do not maintain a minimum level of color balance often exhibit objectionable hue shifts, which may be especially noticeable in photos with gray areas and skin tones. The ink set developed for the HP 110 Print Cartridge was designed to prevent such hue shifts and minimize fading that can occur upon exposure to light and air pollutants. Together, HP’s new dye-based inks and Advanced Photo Paper offer the best overall durability and permanence solution on the market for compact photo printing.
