Monotype ImagingBREW 2006 Monotype Imaging Textual Revolution : Textual Revolution at Booth of the BREW 2006 Conference, May 31- June 2 at the Manchester Grand Hyatt in San Diego. Monotype Imaging's presence at the show will feature a speaker presentation, technology introductions and a series of demonstrations surrounding the launch of the company's scalable, including a suite of fonts that will add a new dimension to cell phone communications. "As one of the most important industry events of the year, we view the BREW 2006 Conference as an opportunity to evangelize the value of scalable fonts and multilingual technology for mobile phones," said John Seguin, senior vice president and general manager of Monotype Imaging's Display Imaging group.
BREW 2006 Monotype Imaging Textual RevolutionJohn Seguin about Fonts
"Fonts are a gateway to the user interface (UI) and global markets, and in that respect, fonts are revolutionary in the way that they shape the user experience. Text that displays poorly or can't support complex scripts like Arabic or Hindi is ineffective as a global communications tool. The fonts we've developed for mobile phones will allow users to connect clearly and efficiently." "Moreover, our typefaces complement the UI by reflecting human attributes through themes such as 'friendly' or 'athletic,' which have the power to create a user experience that's compelling, personal and satisfying," added Seguin.

Bryan Comeau about the Textual revolution
Bryan Comeau, senior software engineer at Monotype Imaging, will lead a technology seminar titled. "The Textual Revolution: How New Capabilities Using Scalable Fonts and Multilingual Technology Can Vastly Improve your BREW Offering." The presentation will be held Friday, June 2, in room Manchester C from 1:30-2:30 p.m.The BREW 2006 Conference also will feature mobile phone demonstrations at the Qualcomm and Monotype Imaging booths that highlight Monotype Imaging's iType font engine and WorldType Layout Engine technologies, licensed by Qualcomm and integrated into its uiOne(TM) offering.

Brew 2006 - UI designs handset look
The uiOne solution enables over-the-air downloads of UI designs, allowing consumers to change the look of their handsets with themes and other customizable features. Ui One demos at BREW 2006 will also feature Monotype Imaging's scalable, theme-based fonts. The BREW solution drives the discovery and delivery of data services. BREW subscribers benefit from several offerings, which include: uiOne for rich, integrated and dynamic user experiences with fast access to high revenue services on wireless devices; deliveryOne for differentiated and tightly integrated, operator-managed support and delivery of advanced wireless data content and services; and marketOne for a quick-to-market, hosted, scalable content delivery service that includes media titles, flexible management and monetization, content provider settlement and business intelligence services.
