KodakKodak Successfull at AIIM ON DEMAND Exposition : Eastman Kodak Company reported higher than expected orders for its graphic communications products and services at the 2006 AIIM ON DEMAND Exposition. By the close of the three-day event, orders for Kodak Graphic Communications Group's products were triple the company's projection. Held last week in Philadelphia, AIIM ON DEMAND is the world's leading digital printing and document management event and drew more than 20,000 industry leaders. "Our focus at AIIM ON DEMAND was helping digital print providers and document management learn ways to achieve greater productivity," said Jim Langley, President, Graphic Communications Group and Senior Vice President, Eastman Kodak Company.

"Offering choices among a range of products for digital printing and document management and the expertise and resources that enable customers to maximize their technology investments resonated with attendees seeking to expand and enhance their operations," said Langley. Strong orders of Kodak Nexpress digital color production presses, Kodak Digimaster black and white print systems, and Kodak Directpress DI digital offset systems were bolstered by the new Kodak Marketmover business development service which is designed to assist customers of various Kodak solutions in achieving business growth. In addition to sales of continuous inkjet printing solutions, Kodak also introduced an entry-level product in the Kodak Versamark VT3000 printing system line. The 250 feet-per- minute system allows mid-volume print service bureaus, corporate print operations, direct mail houses and commercial printers to take advantage of growing demand for variable data and color in print production.

Kodak Solution for document management professionals
Kodak launched several innovative solutions for document management professionals, including the Kodak i1200 and i1300 Series Scanners for distributed scanning. The four new models--Kodak i1210 and i1220 scanners for the workgroup market and Kodak i1310 and Kodak i1320 scanners for the departmental segment--include features such as high-image quality, speed and outstanding ease-of-use in a desktop scanner design that has the smallest operational footprint in its respective classes. "The significant increase in interest we've seen at this year's AIIM ON DEMAND show proves that Kodak's innovative, easy-to-use solutions are catching the attention of businesses of all sizes," said Erwin Schwarzl, General Manager, Document Imaging, and Vice President, Graphic Communications Group.

Kodak - Banking an Finance category
Kodak was also named one of four finalists in the Banking and Finance category of ECM (Enterprise Content Management) Connection's 2006 ACE Awards. ECM Connection's ACE Awards recognize vendors that are making extra efforts to promote the education and adoption of ECM technologies within specific markets beyond their overall horizontal offerings. Along with the Kodak i1200 and i1300 Series Scanners, other document imaging announcements at AIIM ON DEMAND included new software for Kodak i9600 Series Writers, which features fewer steps in the write-to-film process, improved multi-roll processing, and increased support for international languages. The Kodak i6060 and i6090 Check Scanners and Kodak t6000 Server Software for Image Archive Applications joined the Kodak i6030 Check Scanner, image capture and transmission software and a host of support and service options for high-speed check scanning and secure archiving to help banks, businesses and government agencies take advantage of the Check 21 Act.

Kodak - Printing Technologies
In addition to a strong order flow, Kodak attracted enthusiastic crowds to five separate presentations on a wide-array of market trends and Kodak solutions. Kodak designed the presentations, given by Kodak experts, to help customers position themselves for growth. The benefits of integrating Kodak's electrophotographic, continuous inkjet, direct imaging and offset printing technologies were displayed through a custom application that combined variable data and static printing. Kodak and Prinova, a document design company, teamed up to create a welcome kit for a fictitious financial services company. The materials were produced using the various Kodak solutions. In a demonstration for printers in blended production environments, the company also featured its new Kodak Prinergy system digital print workflow for the Kodak Nexpress digital color production press.
