Barely larger than a standard DVD case, the ultra-compact Sony D-VE7000S DVD Walkman is the ultimate go-anywhere player. The slimline tablet design is compact, lightweight and extremely stylish, which makes it equally comfortable in a business class lounge or a quiet corner of a beachfront bar. The Sony D-VE7000S is sold fully accessorised with headphones and a speaker cradle, and an optional car kit also makes it easy to entertain the kids during long road trips.

The DVP-FX810 ‘Portable Cinema’ is the perfect companion for the travelling family. Its clamshell case with a 180-degree pivoting screen make it easy to set up so everyone can see, and extra-long battery life keeps the entertainment coming as the miles roll by. “These portable DVD players are designed to become essentials,” says Yoshiaki Kadokura, Vice President of Portable Audio Group, Sony Europe. “They’re the perfect addition to your entertainment toolkit whether you’re a student, parent or frequent flyer professional. The only hard part here is deciding which one to go for.”

Sony D-VE7000S - 7 inch Widescreen LCD
Hit the road with the new DVD Walkman from Sony. With its 7-inch widescreen LCD, embedded rechargeable battery and remarkably compact tablet-style design, the D-VE7000S is the embodiment of the mobile lifestyle. It has the looks, and it has the high-tech underpinning too. This includes support for a wide range of playback disc formats including DVD, DVD±R/±RW and DVD±R dual layer discs, as well as CD, Video CD, CD-R/RW. Additionally, the D-VE7000S supports the commonly-used DivX, MP3 and JPEG formats for convenient movie and music playback to provide users easy, trouble-free multimedia entertainment.

Sony DVD Walkman - Speaker
On the move the supplied Walkman headphones deliver top quality audio direct to your ears, and dual outputs make sharing easy. At home you can use the speaker cradle (also included) for room-filling stereo sound whether you are watching films or listening to music. For extra convenience, the speaker cradle also doubles as a charger for the Walkman’s embedded battery, which can keep the unit running for up to three hours.

Sony Dolby Digital and DTS digital output
Together with its 5.1ch surround sound Dolby Digital and DTS digital output, its extensive connectivity allows the D-VE7000S to be used as a home DVD/music player with domestic A/V equipment. The supplied slimline remote control provides the finishing touch: everything at your fingertips wherever you are. Movies anywhere with the Sony ‘Portable Cinema’The base of the clamshell case DVP-FX810 provides a solid support for the 8-inch widescreen LCD display. The screen itself can swivel through 180-degrees so it can be set to suit everyone in a matter of seconds. Once it’s set up, the DVP-FX810 runs smoothly even in a car thanks to anti-shock technology built into the drive mechanism.

Sony DVD Walkman and Portable Cinema player - Anti scratch layer
The viewing experience is enhanced by the sheer quality of the display, which is visibly superior to most other panels in its class. To keep it looking as good as new, the screen surface is protected by a specially hardened anti-scratch layer. Behind the scenes, signal processing is carried out by a high-performance 12-bit 108MHz video DAC more typical of a full-size domestic DVD player, meaning super-smooth, artefact-free playback. When it comes to audio, powerful, integrated stereo speakers generate clear, detailed audio with plenty of punch to cope with ambient noise.

Sony FX810 - Easy sharing
A remote control makes life more convenient, whether you’re relaxing at home or running entertainment for young children from the front passenger seat of the car. The supplied rechargeable external battery delivers up to six hours running time using headphones, but a car adaptor is provided as part of the package too, just in case. Like the DVD Walkman, the DVP-FX810 has two headphone outputs for easy sharing, and it can play the same wide range of media, including DVD, DVD±R and DVD±RW formats, DVD±R double layer discs and DivX. It will also playback audio CDs, MP3 music and photo JPEG files burned onto CD-R/RW.
