The Xerox DocuMate 632 processes 35ppm/70ipm at 200 dpi monochrome and grayscale. It offers an optical resolution of 600 x 1200 dpi, 48-bit internal color, a hi-speed USB 2.0 interface (USB 1.1 compatible), and a suite of bundled software applications and utilities. These include TWAIN and ISIS certified drivers, Kofax VRS software, ScanSoft PaperPort Professional, and ScanSoft OmniPage Pro. The 100-page capacity automatic document feeder can handle paper and photos from business cards up to legal-sized documents.

Searchable PDF maintains the visual integrity of the original document, with the text portions of the image converted via OCR for search purposes and stored in a separate layer. Xerox Documate 632 scanner : The Xerox DocuMate 632, announced today at Transform ‘06, is a new duplex flatbed scanner that was designed specifically for departmental use and incorporates Visioneer OneTouch technology for eliminating multiple steps in sending scanned documents to predetermined applications or devices. It is the only scanner that can be programmed to automatically scan to 99 different destinations and be customized for each person in the department. The Xerox DocuMate 632 has an 8.5” x 14.5” flatbed that can accommodate documents up to legal size. It scans 70 images per minute for double-sided documents and the included Scan-to-PDF software bundle allows users to automatically scan to image-over-text searchable PDF.
