 Sanyo XP57L - Micro lens technology
The 3LCD panels in the Sanyo PLC-XP57L optimize the light yield without the use of micro lens technology. The individual panels are protected against premature wear by a special coating and, in addition, the previous Achilles heel, the blue panel, is protected by an improved cooling system. Whether in a museum, a control centre or at point of sale, Sanyo guarantees the ability to operate the projector continuously up to 24 hours a day. This provides the highest possible protection of users' investment.

The model's standard equipment meets all criteria that have been established for professional use: Brightness of 5,500 ANSI as well as extensive connection options, such as DVI and 5 x BNC. The vertical lens shift of 10:0 to 1:1 adds to the enormous flexibility. With the digital keystone correction feature, the projectors can compensate image distortions by up to +/- 40° horizontally and +/- 10° vertically. Users can also choose among a total of five lenses (two telephoto lenses, two wide-angle lenses and one standard lens). Lenses are not part of the standard equipment of the Sanyo PLC-XP57L. Sanyo’s well-known bayonet lock allows all lenses to be easily replaced. If you have several Sanyo projectors in use, you will be pleased to know that the lenses from all previous models in the XP series will fit the new model.

The primary difference between the Sanyo PLC-XP57L projecto and its predecessors in the successful XP series is the fact that it is designed specifically for continuous use. At the heart of the new Sanyo PLC-XP57L is a 3LCD panel developed especially for continuous use. With the predecessors of the Sanyo PLC-XP57L brightness was still generated using micro lens technology. This technology provided a high degree of brightness through specialized light bundling at the pixel level; the disadvantage was that it reduced the service life of the panels.
