The LD is the most versatile "front end tool" the digital photographer can own. Whether you are using a Canon or Nikon digital single lens reflex, the Horseman LD gives photographers the ability to add full bellows functions with all the associated perspective and creative effects of the view camera. The Horseman LD is currently available at retail outlets or at the Horseman USA website. Suggested retail is $2500.00.

The Horseman LD comes in two models that accept Nikon or Canon DSLR bodies and maintain all the normal functions of those camera bodies. The front of the Horseman LD allows users to attach any standard medium or large format camera lens. For professionals the ability to manipulate camera movement can make all the difference in sharpness and photo quality. The Horseman LD allows users to easily control depth of field, distortion, and lateral shift or being able to switch portrait/landscape with one-touch operation. Users can also control perspective distortion by tilting the back (focus plane) or, with a lateral shift; you can move the image and get larger image stitching.

High end medium format digital back
The Horseman LD can also be adapted to a high end medium format digital back with the soon to be released sliding back. Converting the LD to a 4x5 film camera or popular 6x7, 6x9, 6x12cm, roll film backs, and large format scanning backs can be easily accomplished with the optional 4x5 adapter kit. Whether users are working in 35mm, medium or large format film, or digital mode the Horseman LD can get the job done.

Direct Source Marketing
Direct Source Marketing (DSM) was created as a result of the joint venture between Komamura Corporation, a long time distributor of Rollei and Horseman products in Japan, and Franke & Heidecke, the Germany-based manufacturer of Rollei products. The joint venture distributes their medium and large format professional cameras and accessories in the U.S. All of the products in the Rollei/Horseman family work together. This integration allows photographers to easily interchange lenses, backs, and accessories without having to outsource.
