Maersk Line Pictures
Our visual identity is recognisable and distinctive. Great visual identities have an inherent strength that allows the identity to be still identifiable even if the logo is covered up. Each element, not just the logo, denotes Maersk Line or Maersk Logistics - especially our pictures, which are both unique and of the high quality that our company is known for. We have commissioned the world-renowned Magnum Photographic Agency to bring our vision statement, ‘Creating opportunities in global commerce’, to life. The company is usually commissioned by National Geographic for photographic projects, and their high-quality pictures are well-known. Magnum Photographic Agency developed a series of 150 photographs representing our people, our customers’ worlds, our hardware and our global scope.

Maersk photography - Blue wash
We have decided to re-produce the images in black and white with a blue wash. Black and white photography represents the most honest, truthful type of photography. It is very real, being journalistic by nature, and it also has a sense of integrity and style. The blue wash makes it identifiable as Maersk photography. It is distinctive and different in our business sector and we want to be recognised by this own, distinct photographic style in the same way as we are recognised by the Maersk star and the Maersk blue colour.
