HPHP today announces the world’s smallest consumer flatbed All-in-One, the HP PSC 1205 printer, scanner and copier. Priced at only £99, the stylishly designed HP PSC 1205 offers the creative home user photo quality colour printing, superb flatbed scanning and fast, standalone copying, at an affordable price. “HP is continuing to lead the highly competitive All-in-One market by introducing our trade mark no compromise products at lower price points,” said James Guion, HP UK All-in-One category manager. “This is intended not only to reinforce HP’s commitment to this fast growing market, but to ensure the highest quality All-in-One products are readily available to the mainstream market.”
Versatile, easy-to-use and with print speeds of up to 10 pages per minute (colour) and 12 pages per minute (black), the HP PSC 1205 provides creative users with fast and reliable colour printing and copying. HP’s PhotoREt III precision technology together with 4,800-optimised dpi delivers high quality, optimum print results and true-to-life photos. With the time saving standalone copying function - no need to switch on a PC or Mac - there is no waiting around for professional looking documents. In addition, the automatic text and photo enhancement functions of the HP PSC 1205 allow users to improve copies from poor originals, and the zoom and automatic resizing makes it easy to select favourite photo sizes.

The HP PSC 1205 makes scanning A4 photos, books or even 3D objects such as flowers or fabrics a breeze. HP’s dual sensor technology with up to 19,200 dpi-enhanced and 36-bit colour ensures excellent image quality and quiet, fast operation, and the two CCD sensors deliver razor sharp scans.

Standing at only 17cm high and 26cm deep, with an innovative, flexible cord the space saving HP PSC 1205 fits neatly on the smallest desk or into the smallest of spaces for example a book shelf. In addition, the Back lit display ensures clear viewing of the functions of the HP PSC 1205 even when stored under a desk or on shelving.

The new HP PSC 1205 uses the HP No. 56 black inkjet print cartridge and the HP No. 57 tri-colour inkjet print cartridge. Containing specially formulated pigment-based ink, the HP No. 56 black inkjet print cartridge produces perfect prints that do not bleed or feather. The print cartridge’s integrated print head features a sophisticated design with 416 nozzles and up to 18 kHz firing frequency, ensuring laser-quality black graphics and texts with every printout. The HP No. 57 tri-colour inkjet print cartridge delivers impressive colour documents and images. In addition, the dye-based inks make printouts dry even faster, reducing dry time substantially. And with the print head design featuring 300 nozzles and up to 21 kHz firing frequency, the HP No. 57 tri-colour inkjet print cartridge ensures crisp, sharp output every time with extremely small ink drops in the size of 4 to 5 picolitres. HP recommends using original HP print media with the HP No. 56 and No. 57 inkjet print cartridges, as the components of HP printing systems – print cartridges, printers and print media – are designed together to work together perfectly.

Additional Features are: Back lit one digit display allows users to select up to nine copies, 100-sheet input tray for minimum user intervention, Supports Microsoft, Windows 98, 98 SE, ME, 2000 Professional and XP, Mac OS 9.0 and above, Mac OS X v10.1 and above and USB connectivity.

HP PSC 1205 has an estimated street price of £99.00 (inc. VAT) and is available immediately from selected retailers.
