HPHP today announces the HP Photosmart 735, a new stylish, compact and fully-featured digital camera. With 3.2MP resolution, Pentax lens® 3x optical zoom, 5x digital zoom and intuitive, straight forward controls, the HP Photosmart 735 is perfect for digital imaging enthusiasts looking for outstanding quality at an affordable price. “We are continually creating technology which allows anybody, regardless of previous photographic experience, to enjoy both the taking of and viewing of photos”, says Tim Potter, HP’s Image Capture Product Manager. “The HP Photosmart 735 digital camera is a radically simple, surprisingly affordable and high quality way to capture, view and share memories."
Designed specifically for those interested in digital photography but who don’t necessarily want to become technological experts, the HP Photosmart 735 digital camera offers a choice of using either point-and-shoot or manual controls. The manual controls give users the ability to select ISO, exposure, white balance, sharpness and saturation, giving total control of the image they want to capture, while the handy help wizards are perfect for helping with basic operations.

The HP Photosmart 735 features 16MB internal memory for storing up to 114 pictures, as well as a SD/MMC memory card slot for adding more capacity. The 32MB SDRAM buffer offers best in class shot-to-shot performance enabling users to capture 7 shots in 11 seconds, while the energy saving status display and 3.8cm (1.5”) colour LCD allows the user to remain fully in control.

The HP Photosmart 735 digital camera includes an unlimited video and audio recording function which can also be used to record audio clips for play-back with still photos.

The HP Photosmart 735 digital camera offers easier and more complete ways to get photos from the camera to their final destination. With HP Instant Share, users can tag photos with up to 34 pre-programmed destinations using the share button on the back of the camera. When downloaded, these images will be automatically sent to the selected destination be it an email address, printer or onto HP’s free photo sharing web site www.hpphoto.com.

The new HP Photosmart 735 digital camera can be used with the optional HP Photosmart 8886 camera docking station to enable users to: Recharge NiMH batteries right in the camera, Unload images to a PC or Mac at the touch of a button, Display images as a slide show on a TV, Use the TV wireless remote control to rotate, magnify and preview images on a TV screen. The remote even has buttons for “share” and “print”.

The HP Photosmart 735 digital camera will be available from June 2003, from selected retailers.
