Notebook users can now work more comfortably than when using an integrated device such as a touchpad or trackpoint. The pen has shown to be the most intuitive input device as is very natural to handle. With Wacom’s absolute positioning, the pen is accurate and allows the user to navigate with short and precise movements. The intuitive handling of the pen is one of the reasons that the ISPA-jury awarded the prize to Wacom. Office workers are accustomed to using a ‘normal’, analogue pen, so the jury was convinced by Wacom’s digital version. As it works without cables and batteries, the Wacom pen is as close to using a normal pen as possible. PenPartner2 is PC compatible and runs on Windows 98SE, ME, 2000 or XP. It comes with JustWrite Office software, which in combination with a pen input device, allows handwritten notes and signatures to be added directly to every Word, Excel and PowerPoint document. The product is priced at £34.99 and available at retail shops including PC World.
