Webby Awards nominated Shutterfly websiteInternational Academy of Digital Arts
Hailed as the "Online Oscars" by Time magazine, The Webby Awards are determined by the International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences, a global organization. The Webby Awards honors the outstanding web sites that are setting the standards for the internet," said Tiffany Shlain, founder and ambassador of The Webby Awards. "Shutterfly's Webby Award nomination is a testament to the skill, ingenuity and vision of its creators." Founded in 1996, The Webby Awards are known worldwide for its famous five-words-or-less acceptance speeches.

Webby Award - Nominees & Winners
The Academy will select 5 best sites in each of the 65+ categories based on review and analysis using six judging criteria. The judging process is comprehensive and overseen by PricewaterhouseCoopers. These sites will be recognized as Webby Nominees. In each of the 60+ categories, there are two chances to win a Webby Award. The Academy vote will choose a single Winner based on review and analysis of the nominees. These sites will receive a Webby Award. Additionally, the online community, through a public vote, will select a winner from the nominees in each category. These sites receive a Webby People's Voice Award.

Webby judging criteria - Offical Honoree
As a result of the superior quantity and quality of entrants, the Webby honors additional outstanding sites alongside our Nominees and Winners as Official Honorees. Being selected as an Official Honoree means a site has been selected as one of the top sites on the Web as part of the Webby judging process, based on the Webby judging criteria. Less than 20% of the sites entered in the Webby Awards are deemed Official Honorees. With thousands of entries in the Webby Awards each year, being selected as an Official Honoree is a notable achievement. There may be multiple sites (or no sites) in each category designated as an Official Honoree.

Webby people's voice award - Statuettes and framed certificates
Both Webby Award Winners and Webby People's Voice Award Winners will receive a beautiful hand-casted Webby Statuette, the symbol of web excellence, and may purchase duplicate statuettes for clients, colleagues or other team members involved in the site. Nominees and Offical Honorees may purchase custom framed certificates to commemorate their honor.
