LexarLexar Media announced it has doubled the capacity of its JumpDrive 2.0 Pro USB flash drive to 2 GB. The increased storage capacity of the JumpDrive 2.0 Pro is supported by a 40X speed rating which signifies a minimum read/write speed of 6MB/sec, and positions the JumpDrive 2.0 Pro line as an ideal USB storage solution for people who require high-speed data transfer, high capacity and reliable performance. Lexar Media's complete line of JumpDrive portable USB flash drives allow users to conveniently store, carry and transfer files that are often too large to fit on other media such as CD's and Zip drives, as is the case with many presentation, image, and music files. A 2GB JumpDrive is equivalent to the capacity of over 1,400 floppy disks.
Lexar Media announces 2GB JumpDrive 2.0 Pro"We are satisfying the needs of professionals worldwide who require more and more portable digital storage capacity," said Dave Klenske, Director of Product Marketing, Lexar Media. "And along with capacity, professionals need to transfer data very quickly. Our JumpDrive 2.0 Pro delivers just what the professional market calls for, in a higher capacity and consistent high-speed products."

With USB 2.0 speed, 2GB JumpDrive 2.0 Pro can transfer 2GB of music or data in less than six minutes. All JumpDrive 2.0 Pro products, including the new model, are compatible with USB 2.0 and backward compatible with USB 1.1 ports. The drive itself is completely compatible with, and does not require drivers for, the following modern operating systems: Windows 2000/Me/XP, Mac OS 8.6+, and Mac OS X.

The 2GB JumpDrive 2.0 Pro will ship nationwide in February 2004.
