Moving from multiple single function devices to a single streamlined, multifunction laser platform device is inherently more beneficial in limited office space environments. Compact MFP models allow for a better use of space while accommodating all the tasks previously performed by four or more machines. "Many small and home offices have a growing need for similar office equipment technology as larger organizations, just in a smaller footprint," said Tod Pike, senior vice president, Imaging Systems Group, Canon USA, Inc. "The new Color imageCLASS MF 8180C from Canon provides those smaller operations with the flexibility to choose the color output, capacity, and value-added features they require in a single desktop device."
Canon imageCLASS MFP laser solution - High optical color scanning
The new Color imageCLASS MF8180c color device runs at speeds of 20 pages-per-minute (ppm) for black output and 4 ppm for color output (letter). Crisp images and text can be produced at 2400x600 dpi quality in both color and monotone. It comes equipped with a 250-sheet front-loading paper cassette plus a 125-sheet multipurpose tray supporting a variety of media for output flexibility. Combining the high optical color scanning resolution of 1200 x 2400 dots-per-inch (dpi) with a 48-bit depth that is capable of recognizing more than 281-trillion possible colors, customers can complete a variety of color scanning tasks easily from either the platen glass or the automatic document feeder with high-quality results. The 50-sheet automatic document feeder (ADF) works for both copying and scanning of letter- and legal- sized media.
Canon imageCLASS - For comprehensive faxing applications
For the added benefit of fax capability, the Color imageCLASS MF8180c incorporates a 33.6 Kbps Super G3 fax . A strong list of fax features, including 12 one-touch speed dial numbers, 100 coded speed dial numbers, 256-page memory capacity, PC Faxing, sequential broadcasting and activity reports, make this new imageCLASS product ideal for the customer requiring comprehensive faxing applications in a compact desktop product.
