 SanDisk Red-Sea 2006 underwater photo competition : SanDisk and "Yam", the Israeli Diving magazine, has announced , the opening of the enrollment to the grand underwater photo competition, "Sandisk Red Sea Underwater Photography Competition", which will be held on April 24th-29th 20006, at the Isrotel Ambassador hotel in Eilat, Israel. Underwater photographers from all over the world, has begun to send their photos to the "Images of the world" category, and also to the "Eilat Shoot-out Party". Sandisk has announced that the first 100 enrollers to the Eilat's Shoot-Out will receive a SanDisk Compact Flash or an Secure Digital flash card - free of charge. First Prize- 10,000 $ Cash, + 3 weeks Diving Trip for 2 to Papua New Guinea.

The SanDisk 2006 Red Sea Underwater Photography Competition is open to both amateur & professional photographers, shooting with film or digital cameras. Selected categories are open to competitors from all over the world, whose photos can be shot at any time and from any location. Contestants can send photographs in by e-mail. "The last competition received a great deal of attention among underwater photographers and divers from around the world", said David Pilosof, the competition's originator. "We expect even more entrants and press coverage this year due to the larger prizes." Other events taking place during the April 24-29, 2006 contest include an Opening Cocktail Party at the Eilat Red Sea Marine Park, a Shoot-out party at the Dolphin Reef, the April 28 screening of the Antibes film festival winning films and the April 29 Friday Show Party and Prize Ceremony at the Isrotel Ambassador hotel.

The Competition’s main events will take place at Isrotel Ambassador hotel - Eilat’s best diving hotel, located at Eilat’s Coral Beach, close to the Underwater Nature Reserve & Observatory. Special offers for accomodation at the Isrotel Ambassador hotel are available through the Competition's organisers, and hotel & flight packages are available through all the major travel agents.
