Fritz Mini telephone and music player from AVMAVM Fritz! Mini - Elegant Design
With its broad range of phone, music player and personal info features, Fritz! Mini pioneers a whole new product class. In its robust black shell, it combines a cordless phone, a music player, and web access - all using a wireless link to the Internet and the PC through Fritz!Box Fon WLAN. Features include a high-resolution color LCD display, sophisticated control and function keys, a stereo headset, wireless LAN, a USB 2.0 connector, and a charging cradle. For music listening, Fritz! Mini can be connected either to the headset or to a stereo system. This makes it easy to enjoy MP3 songs or Internet radio on a home hi-fi. No bigger than a designer cellphone, but much more versatile: this mixture of form and function makes Fritz! Mini ideal for every family member.

Fritz! Mini: The Telephone
Fritz! Mini dials Internet and landline calls with complete convenience. The new AVM product provides the features and services of ISDN phones, such as call holding, call waiting, call forwarding, and three-party calls. Moreover, all these features are intuitively accessible thanks to the easy menu, simple keypad, and readable color display. The display makes it child’s play to dial calls from the phone book or the call journal. And in Internet telephony, Fritz! Mini delivers a whole new feeling: the new AVM device supports not only the familiar standards, but also the high-fidelity VoIP communication standard PCM Linear, with a 16 kHz sampling rate for true wideband voice quality.

Fritz! Mini: The Music Player
Fritz! Mini offers cordless music enjoyment, with no strings attached, but with maximum fidelity and ease of operation. Free of conventional music players’ built-in memory restrictions, Fritz! Mini can play all the music sources in your network. Whether Internet radio stations, podcasts, or the music collection on your disk drive. You can even play your CD collection on Fritz! Mini. Access to the Internet or the PC takes place over a wireless link to Fritz!Box. Fritz! Mini makes music available anywhere in the home - either portably, with the stereo headset attached, or by connecting Fritz! Mini directly to the existing stereo system.

Fritz! Mini: The Personal Information Service
At a glance Fritz! Mini notifies every resident about incoming calls, e-mail and text messages. And the computer doesn’t even need to be turned on to check for new mail. With its connection to the Internet through Fritz!Box - again, without turning on the computer - Fritz! Mini also provides news, weather, stock market, sports, and other information. All online, through practical RSS (Really Simple Syndication) feeds.

Fritz! Mini and Fritz!Box: Perfect Interplay
With its generous CPU and memory capacity, Fritz!Box acts as a base station and information hub for Fritz! Mini. Voice, music and control data are transported over an encrypted WLAN connection. Briefly connected to Fritz!Box’s USB host port, Fritz! Mini automatically shares all the necessary settings and security functions with Fritz!Box using AVM Stick & Surf. Incoming and outgoing calls - both VoIP and fixed-line - are forwarded to Fritz! Mini; in-house calls to all extensions are also supported. Memory sticks and MP3 players with a USB interface can also be connected to Fritz!Box, and used as storage media for music files to be played on Fritz! Mini. Notifications that reach Fritz!Box about e-mail, text messages, or phone calls are also forwarded to Fritz! Mini in a simple, understandable form, and thus quickly accessible anywhere to the individual user.

Fritz! Mini: Debut at CeBIT 2006
In Fritz! Mini’s trade fair premiere, AVM presents a combination of handheld elegance and high technology. With its broad range of phone, music player and personal info features, Fritz! Mini pioneers a whole new product class. AVM plans to introduce Fritz! Mini in the third quarter of 2006.
