NikonNikon D200 digital SLR review : Nikon isn't exactly known for renewing their assortment of camera models at amazing speed. Yet whenever they make a new introduction, you can rest assured it'll being something extraordinarily special. Take the Nikon D200 for example, a camera that simply towers over its predecessor, the D100. It isn't just a higher resolution, its updated looks or the new design that draws one to it. The Nikon D200 digital reflex camera offers such a staggering amount of new features, that one should truly regard it as a remarkable digital revolution. Even though it is not necessarily the most important asset of a camera, the resolution virtually always remains people's prime interest. With 10 Megapixels the Nikon D200 raises the bar another notch for digital SLRs in this class.
Nikon D200 reviewNikon D200 SLR - Handling response
Handling response is exceptional. In fact, with power-up in a mere 0.15 seconds, a remarkable shutter time lag of only 50 milliseconds and a shortened viewfinder blackout time of just 105 milliseconds, the Nikon D200 excels in the capture of fleeting or unexpected moments. Such factors also combine with high-speed continuous shooting capability at up to 5fps, with continuous bursts of up to an impressive 37 JPEG (Fine-Large) images or up to 22 shots in NEF (RAW) format (when using a SanDisk Ultra II or SanDisk Extreme III 1GB CompactFlash card). The D200 D-SLR is a perfect fit for discriminating photographers and a natural choice for wedding, event and action specialists.

Nikon D200 d-SLR - High quality camera
The high 10+ Megapixel resolution, very fast responsive-ness and advanced metering system give me valuable tools to be able to produce a high quality end result. It is just the right tool for the Nikon fan or for those who were waiting for a (Nikon) D-SLR that fulfills just about everything you could wish for as an amateur or semi-pro. Even the Pro D2x and D2Hs users who are looking for a second camera will find it a very interesting instrument to assist them in their daily digital imaging work...

Once there, it did not take long for us to receive the Nikon D200, so that we had the opportunity to test the camera extensively. Our results of this extraordinary digital reflex camera can be read in the following Nikon D200 review.
