HP ScanJet 8390 : Ideal for the office focused on managing documents, the HP ScanJet 8390 is HP’s fastest document flatbed scanner. Users can perform quality document scans at up to 35 pages per minute (ppm) for single-sided pages or make two-sided scans at 70 images per minute (ipm). The included HP Smart Document Scan Software makes it simple to create document profiles by providing everything needed to scan, correct errors, convert and save electronic files, all of which can be assigned to front panel buttons for easy one-touch scanning. The estimated U.S. street price for the HP ScanJet 8390 document flatbed scanner is $1,499. The HP 8390 scanner is expected to be available for purchase April 2006.

The HP 8390 flatbed scanner seamlessly integrates into existing software and optimize scan speeds using ISIS and TWAIN drivers. With HP’s patented technology, users can save time, get instant scanner startup and preview scans in about four seconds. Adjust the resolution to fit your needs from 75-dpi black-and-white document scans up to 4800-dpi, 48 bit for professional quality images.
HP ScanJet 8390 scanner - Software and Slides
The HP 8390 scanner includes an extensive software package with ScanSoft PaperPort software and NewSoft PageManager, OCR software and photo editing. Get high-quality scans of various paper sizes and 3-D objects with a legal-size, landscape-oriented scanning bed and adjustable lid. The new HP ScanJet 8390 lets you scan 35 mm slides, negatives and larger film sizes using a built-in transparent materials adapter.
