SilverwirePMA 2006 Silverwire to Acquire Axiom Connection : Silverwire, the global digital imaging application and services leader announced today its acquisition of Axiom Connection., a UK-based company with representation in the USA, Europe and Asia. The acquisition will allow Silverwire to expand its offering of software applications, services and customized solutions in the in the General and Photo Retail space. "We see the need to make self-service solutions 'work harder'," says Sue Allen, Axiom Vice President Sales. "Using our software, on-line network and integration services, retailers can now offer third party products like mobile pre-payment top-ups, iTunes vouchers, content downloads and much more in the store.

"Combining Remote Kiosk Management tools and our new Digital Signage technology will allow retailers to up-sell and maximize their return on investment", added Sue Allen. Latest designs of kiosk workflows now support both front and behind the counter services allowing retailers to offer customized user interaction. This adds to the existing possibilities to do in-store, on-line ordering of calendars, photobooks, scrap books, collages, prints and large format posters. Many of these possibilities will be shown at the Silverwire booth #4677 at PMA 2006.

Digital press market
Silverwire, catering exclusively to OEMs and business customers in the photo, retail, telecom and digital press market segments, was formed through a merger of three digital imaging companies in February 2003. With this acquisition Silverwire will become one of the largest suppliers of software and professional services for self-service - based retail solutions worldwide, solidifying their position as the leading integrator of retail solutions with POS, retail back-end and production systems. Axiom Connection Ltd will retain its name and continue to operate as a separate entity within the Silverwire group.
