Durst Photo Book Station book binder : Durst Image Technology US, LLC has chosen the PMA Convention and Trade Show for the first North American showing of the Durst Photo Book Station - a compact, productive and easy-to-use four-station book binder that makes it easy to produce event albums, "memory books" and other high-margin photo book products. The Durst Photo Book Station is on display in the Durst booth. Developed in conjunction with Zechini - one of the world's foremost manufacturers of book bindery equipment - Durst's new Photo Book Station produces high-quality, high-margin consumer photo books and albums with a variety of appealing "looks" at a rate of 25-30 albums per day.

Durst all-in-one book binding system
A compact all-in-one book binding system, it comes with all major components - incl. start-up consumables - required to make photo albums and memory books from double pages digitally printed on photo paper. "Until now, it's been easier to talk about offering value-added photo products than to actually produce them. But our Photo Book Station makes its easy to produce high-quality albums and photo books - much nicer than consumer-level products produced on toner or inkjet-type printers," said A. Ron Waters, President and CEO of Durst U.S. "An album created by the Photo Book Station commands a higher price, but at a lower level of frustration. It's just an excellent tool for expanding product offerings, doing it in a way that adds substantially to the bottom line."

The Photo Book Station is operated by one person who moves through the four stages of production by simply stepping around the unit and performing a function at each side - crease, glue, mount and press. The Photo Book Station produces books from small gift sizes up to 20x20 inches with 50 pages or more - including folded double-spread pages. Pages can be mounted using wet glue or dry-mount double adhesive sheets. The unit attaches covers as basic as a laminated photo and as elaborate as fine leather, synthetics or metal. It is an ideal companion for the Theta digital imagers, Durst said. The Photo Book Station is available immediately from Durst.
