Canon sponsor of London Fashion Week : Canon, leader in photographic and imaging technology, today celebrated its role as principal sponsor of London Fashion Week with the launch of an exclusive fashion collection created using Canon’s world-class imaging technology. Pioneering British designer, Robert Cary-Williams, employed his trademark experimental design skills to create bespoke couture garments - titled ‘Canon LoveFashion Collection’ - using Canon technology at each step of his creative process, from image capture through to the printing of materials. The stunning collection was previewed today at the official London Fashion Week photocall where top model Lily Cole took to the catwalk in one of his creations.

Lily will also model the collection at Robert’s show tomorrow at The Cumberland Hotel (4.30pm) and it will be on display, along with an interactive pictorial expose on the making of the collection, at the Canon exhibition area at London Fashion Week. Canon has previously supported a number of fashion-related events, including ‘On the Other Side of the Lens’, a photographic project that featured fashion industry luminaries such as Tommy Hilfiger, Helena Christensen, Jimmy Choo, Patrick Cox and Stella McCartney, and the ‘Fashion Rocks’ extravaganza in aid of the Prince’s Trust, which was aired on Channel 4 in the UK in 2003. This latest partnership signals Canon’s commitment the fashion industry and reinforces Canon’s wider sponsorship strategy to support events that are associated with fostering creativity.
