The exposure system is fully automatic, although it is possible to compensate the exposure manually (-/+2EV in 1/3 EV steps). The ISO equivalent is 100, but is adjustable manually (100 or 200 ISO).
The Jenoptik JD 4.1 z8 features three light metering systems; multi pattern, center weighted or spot. Due to the large optical zoom the camera does not feature an optical viewer, but does not feature an electronic viewer either. For capturing images or viewing the captured ones one should use the 1.6-inch LCD display at the back of the camera. The display has a resolution of 70,000 pixels.
The camera's internal flash has a red-eye reduction and features a slow sync mode, fill-in, off and automatic flash mode. Beside being able to capture still images the Jenoptik JD 4.1 z8 is also able to record video clips. The still images are stored in JPEG format on a Secure Digital (SD) flash card. |
