Nikon P4 - Design and Optical zoom
According to Steve Digicams: "The Nikon P4 features the VR (Vibration Reduction) system originally developed for Nikon SLR cameras. Comprising two modes, it allows selection of VR Normal mode that compensates for the minor camera movement commonly encountered when taking handheld shots, and VR Active mode that compensates for more pronounced movements, such as when shooting from a moving vehicle. Controls on top include the VR button to control the Vibration Reduction."
Nikon P4 camera - Steves Digicams review conclusion
Steve continues: "A lot of people never read their user manuals and don't know the "secret of the sweet spot" - in macro mode run your zoom in and out until you see the macro flower icon turn green (or yellow on some Coolpix cameras). This is the setting that allows you to shoot the closest possible shots. And by all means, use a tripod and the self-timer for the sharpest possible shots. Although the Nikon P4 with this new VR enhancement will definitely help handheld macros like the one above." You want to learn more about the Nikon Coolpix digital camera?
