Nikon L2 at Steves Digicams : Our good friends at Steves Digicams have published their review of the Nikon Coolpix L2 digital camera. The Nikon L2 camera features an easy-to-view 2.0 inch LCD monitor that's now even easier to operate with new icons and function selections. Printing is kept simple, with PictBridge capability enabling connection to a compatible printer without the need of a computer and USB connectivity eases data transfer to computers and other peripherals. The power to shoot approximately 180 shots for the Nikon L2 when using alkaline batteries greatly augments its compact convenience. The Nikon Coolpix L2 also offers movie-shooting capability in three sizes; movie size (640), small (320) and smaller size (160).

Nikon Coolpix L2 - Display and zoom
According to Steve Digicams: "The Nikon L2 is equipped with a 3x Nikkor optical zoom lens with a 38 - 116mm (in 35mm equivalent) focal length coverage. The maximum aperture is F3.2 to 5.3 and it has a dedicated macro mode. The large 2.0-inch color LCD with 86,000 pixels of resolution serves as the viewfinder as well as for reviewing your images and movies and accessing the menu screens. The "blue arrow" button puts the camera in Play mode. The "trashcan" button is for deleting images."
Nikon L2 compact camera - Steves Digicams review conclusion
Steve continues: "The Nikon Coolpix L2 is equipped with ~23MB of internal memory and a SD memory card slot, no card is supplied with the camera. Images and movies can be copied from internal memory to SD card or vice-versa. We recommend the purchase of at least a 256MB (or larger) SD card or your picture taking will be quite limited. Face Priority AF mode actually detects the presence of a human face in the frame and focuses on it. Some of the other portrait scene modes have onscreen framing guides to help you properly position your subject for the desired effect." You want to learn more about the Nikon Coolpix digital camera? In the same way the reviews are being written. According to Steve, it should not be necessary to follow a course in photography to be able to understand a review. For this approach Steve is well known world wide and he is welcome to it by his many readers. Beside test reports Steve's site has various other items, like a forum, camera specifications, daily "breaking" news.
