The FinePix F700 by Fujifilm can now be made compatible with PictBridge by updating with free firmware. Cameras that have been updated in this way can then print directly without using a PC - the easy way from digital picture to paper print. PictBridge is a standard for direct printing, independent of manufacturer, and enables pictures to be produced directly from digital cameras, digital camcorders or other picture capturing equipment without using a PC. Owners of a FinePix F700 can send their camera to the service centre of Fuji Photo Film (Europe) GmbH, Heesenstr. 70, 40549 Düsseldorf and they will receive their camera back after a few days complete with firmware update.

The FinePix F700 is a digital camera for the consumer sector, particular suited to the quality conscious photographers. It is equipped with the new Sensor Super CD SR, the structure of which has two different pixel groups: 3.1 million S-pixels for the capture of dark picture elements and a further 3.1 million R-pixels for the capture of light-coloured areas. Thus balanced, contrast-rich pictures can be created, in which details are recognisable in both the light and dark areas, even in difficult light conditions. |
