Canon EOS 30D digital SLR : Canon today released the Canon EOS 30D. The EOS 30D features the same 8,19 megapixel CMOS image sensor, multi-layer low-pass optical filter and DIGIC II processing as its predecessor the EOS 20D. Thanks to a nice rework of the way pictures get transferred from the sensor to the CompactFlash card, the burst depth has been increased to 11 for RAW CR2, 30 for large fine JPEG’s and 9 for RAW and JPEG. Furthermore, the new Canon 30D SLR camera features a bright 2.5-inch rear LCD display and a unique Picture Style menu. The ISO sensitivity of the Canon EOS 30D ranges from 100 to 1600. The Canon EOS 30D will start shipping in March 2006, at an expected manufacturer’s retail price of US $ 1.399.
