FotologFotolog online photo sharing servers upgraded : Fotolog.com is an online community of interconnected photo-weblogs. Fotolog makes it easy for your friends and family to see what`s up with you by putting your latest, greatest digital photos on the web in a daily journal format. Founded in 2002, Fotolog now has more than 2 million members in 200 countries. To meet the increased demand, Fotolog implemented a major hardware upgrade and code overhaul over the past few months that has greatly enhanced the Fotolog experience. If you haven’t visited Fotolog in a while, the first thing you’ll notice is speed - the site is now averaging less than 2.5 seconds for page delivery and 230,000 photo uploads daily (vs. 180,000 in November).
Fotolog online photo sharing servers upgradedFriends/Favorites list
The Friends/Favorites list in the right-hand column of every photo blog features a thumbnail image from each of your favorite sites. Improvements to Fotolog now ensure that when someone on your Friends/Favorites list posts a new photo, you’ll see the thumbnail image updated on your list in real-time. A new and improved upload by email functionality is now in place, making it a snap for members to send and post photos remotely from camera phones.

Fotolog photo archive
Currently in Beta testing, Fotolog’s new photo archive system posts past photos in a new, user-friendly monthly calendar that lets members easily jump to and find photos from a particular year, month, or day. Fotolog’s previous archive system listed only 20 photos -at-a-time on a plain white page with no dates.

Expanded Gold Camera member benefits
Gold Camera memberships ($5 per month) allow members to post 5 photos per day (vs. 1 for general members) and receive up to 100 comments on their photos (vs 10). Several new features make Gold Camera membership even more valuable, including a “My Stats” tool and the ability to create custom title images/mastheads for photoblogs.

Fotolog - More new features coming up
Finally, Fotolog boasts a simple, sharp new logo - an empty picture frame - symbolizing the infinite photos and images that the frame can be filled with. In the coming few months, Fotolog will be unveiling even more new features, including improved geographical directories, enhanced user search, and new Group Photo Blog management functions.
