 DxO Digital Optics Solution : At 3GSM World Congress, DxO Labs will premier and announce the immediate availability of its patented DxO Digital Optics Solution. This is a revolutionary approach for cameraphones based on the co-design of image processing and optics. Several fully operational product demos will be showcased during the show. "By relaxing the intrinsic constraints of optical design, our approach really changes the fundamental practice of camera module system design," explains DxO Labs Chief Scientist Frédéric Guichard. "For the first time, the optics can be designed in conjunction with advanced image processing technology. DxO Digital Optics really means better performance at a lower cost and a smaller footprint."

With traditional camera module design, the optics and the image processing are designed separately, with DxO Digital Optics technology, image processing and optics are co-designed. DxO Labs technologies now bring digital camera image quality to cameraphones for video and still pictures, even in very low light.
