 Samsung Digimax L85 : Samsung introduces a 8.1 Megapixel digital camera with a 5x optical SHD lens to strengthen its digital success in the popular 8.1 Megapixel digital camera sector. The Samsung L85, introduced by Samsung, is a portable compact digital camera (110 x 60 x 29 mm) that delivers an image resolution of 3264 x 2448 pixels. The Samsung Digimax L80's SHD optical lens has a focal length of 38-190 mm, f/2.8-4.4 (equivalent of 35mm film camera). Even though the Samsung Digimax L85 is compact the engineers have manages to ensure it has a 2.5-inch color TFT LCD display with a resolution of 230K pixels. The Samsung Digimax L85 digital camera is packed in a 2.9cm flat silver/black coloured housing with a variety of features.

The Samsung Digimax L85 has Special Effect features that help take picture taking a stage further. The Special Effect features offered by the Samsung L85 are Highlight, Photo Frame and Composite shot. Besides the special features the Samsung Digimax L85 offers multipoint Auto focus with Auto macro and Super Macro function, 8x digital zoom, continue shooting at 2fps and 11 Scene programs to get control of every situation. At the upcoming PMA 2006 in Orlando Samsung will display their complete line of digital cameras.
Samsung Digimax L85 camera - Operation and Secure Digital
Composite shot allows you to divide a shooting scene into 2-4 segments and save them into a single file. Photo Frame allows you choose from 9 different types of fun photo frame. Furthermore the Samsung Digimax L85 digital camera features 32MB internal memory which can be increased by using an external Secure Digital (SD) card up to 1GB. To transfer the data the camera is equipped with a USB 2.0 interface. For power the Samsung Digimax L85 digital camera is using a SLB-1237 Lithium Ion battery.

Samsung Digimax L85 digital camera - Direct print and USB
The PictBridge feature of the Digimax L85 allows pictures taken with a camera to be directly printed without a PC, so you can instantly obtain clear 8.1 Megapixel prints just by connecting the camera to a compatible printer. This, when used with the in camera editing features means you really can go from picture to print without the need for a PC. In addition, it provides a substantially faster transfer rate with USB 2.0 as compared to the existing USB 1.1.
