Canon USA acquires Uinta Business Systems : Expanding its direct presence in the Western United States, Canon USA today announced the acquisition of Salt Lake City-based Uinta Business Systems, and its subsidiaries. As part of the agreement, Uinta Founder Joe Weis will remain as President and continue to have responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the organization. He will report directly to Ryoichi Bamba, executive vice president and general manager, Imaging Systems Group, Canon USA, who will serve as Chairman of UBS. “As one of the largest technology solutions resellers in the country, UBS has a tremendous reputation in the Western United States for providing quality Canon products, solutions and support,” said Bamba.
