"I'm extremely excited to have won the Canon and Pro Football Hall of Fame's photography contest," said Richards. "I'm very grateful to Canon and the Pro Football Hall of Fame for making my dream of attending Super Bowl XL with my sons a reality and for displaying my photograph in the Hall of Fame." This nationwide contest featured two entry categories, "Action" and "Feature," allowing football and photography fans to capture the passion and excitement of youth football by submitting photos of any youth, middle school or high school football game. The "Action" category focused on any image that captured football action during game play and the "Feature" category is any football imagery not including game action on the field. Photo submissions were accepted from September 1 to December 9, 2005.
