Olympus P-11 printer review at Steves Digicams : Our good friends at Steves Digicams have published their review of the Olympus P11 photo printer. The Olympus P11 is one of the fastest dye-sublimation photo printers available today. Up to 16.77 million continuous colour tones are diffused into the paper to return photos with true-to-life gradations, something most ink-jet printers are incapable of achieving no matter how high their dpi-count is. The prints are UV-resistant and - unlike the normal prints from photo labs, even automatically laminated to guard against environmental influences such as sunlight, dust, humidity and staining. Any camera supporting the PictBridge standard can be directly attached to the Olympus P-11.

Olympus P11 - Design and Optical zoom
According to Steve Digicams: "Thanks to its dye sublimation printing system the P-11 eliminates the messy ink cartridges found in inkjet photo printers. You install this dry film ribbon cartridge in the side, load up the paper tray and you're ready to print. The paper tray holds up to 50 sheets of 4 x 6" (or 3.5 x 5" with the included tray insert) paper. The tray slides into the front of the printer and you close the door, it does not stick out like the trays on other dye-sub printers."
Olympus P-11 printer - Steves Digicams review conclusion
Steve continues: "The Olympus P-11 is very fast with an average printing time of just 33 seconds (not counting data transmission time.) This makes it the fastest dye sub printer that we've reviewed yet! Most other 4x6" dye sub printers take anywhere from 60 to 90 seconds per print. Another nice feature is that the prints do not come out of the printer with those pesky tear-off tabs on both ends, they're 100% borderless and ready to be shared. The Olympus P-11's print quality is excellent, it's as close to lab quality as it gets from a home or small business printer." You want to learn more about the Olympus photo printer? About Steve's Digicams Online
Steve's Digicams was founded in the year 1997, by, indeed, Steve. Steve Sanders is well experienced in photography, 30 years, and wants to share this experience with everyone on the Internet. Steve's motto is: simplicity. The way the website is build makes it also possible for those who haven't got a fast connection to download the website very quickly. In the same way the reviews are being written. According to Steve, it should not be necessary to follow a course in photography to be able to understand a review. For this approach Steve is well known world wide and he is welcome to it by his many readers. Beside test reports Steve's site has various other items, like a forum, camera specifications, daily "breaking" news.
