SamsungSamsung Cameras appoints Steven Cordova : Samsung Opto-Electronics America, Inc., (SOA) announced that Steven Cordova has been appointed to the position of Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing. In this position, Cordova will be responsible for developing and overseeing a more expansive and aggressive sales and marketing organization within SOA as part of the company's effort to increase market share in the digital still camera space. Steven Cordova will work closely with all members of the Samsung Opto-Electronics sales and marketing staff, and report directly to J. W. Ahn, the President of Samsung Camera."Steven is a valuable addition to the Samsung Camera sales force," said Ahn.

"As a veteran in the photo industry with major consumer electronics brand experience, Steven brings a tremendous track record and an invaluable perspective to the task of expanding our presence and market share in North America. I am pleased to welcome Steven to the SOA team." Prior to joining Samsung Opto-Electronics, Cordova served as Vice President of Sales for the Electronic Imaging Division at Fujifilm. While at Fujifilm, he helped to drive consumer sales of digital products and was consistently recognized for his contributions to the company's outstanding sales performance. Prior to joining Fujifilm, Cordova held the position of Sales Manager for Sharp Electronics where he was responsible for sales of audio/video and office products.
