Imaging-ResourceThe guys from Imaging Resource have posted a full review of the compact Pentax Optio 555 digital camera. This new Pentax model which was actually introduced during our stay at the IFA event in Berlin, Germany, last August, is a follow-up of the Optio 550 camera. The camera features a 5 Megapixels CCD and a remarkable 5x SMC Pentax optical zoom. The new Optio 555 is almost identical to the Optio 550 camera. Minor changes are an updated movie recording time and a longer shutter time. Nevertheless this nice little camera offers a lot of functionality and high resolution images. The camera's housing is made of metal which contributes to the camera's weight. Despite its handy format the Optio 555 offers a lot of functionality!
Imaging Resource: Pentax Optio 555 reviewAccording to Imaging Recource;" Boasting a 5.0-megapixel CCD, 5x optical zoom lens, exposure control ranging from fully automatic to fully manual, and a wide selection of creative modes and features, the Pentax Optio 555 offers a lot of the functionality of higher-end digicams in a compact, easy to use package.", "Resolution is excellent, and images are sharp from corner to corner, evidence of a high-quality lens." and "All in all, an excellent choice for a compact digicam with a full set of features."

Those of you who are looking for a compact but solid camera, high resolutions and long zoom should read Imaging Resource's review about the new Pentax Optio 555 camera. This camera deserves a look!
