SamsungSamsung SC HDX15 camcorder : Samsung Electronics Canada announced the launch of a state-of-the-art Samsung SC HDX15 camcorder that promises to make waves in the industry. The company unveiled a comprehensive line of digital devices including digital cameras, Sports Cams and DV camcorders at the CES 2006 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Samsung HDX15 camcorder and the full product line-up for 2006 was on display during CES. "As a continuing innovator in the area of consumer electronics technology, Samsung is excited to release this new line-up of products in order to provide the latest and most technologically advanced options for consumers," said Andrew Thompson, Marketing Manager, Consumer Electronics, Samsung Electronics Canada.

Andrew Thompson continues: "Samsung listened to the consumer and responded by providing the best new products with respect to features, design, function and innovation." The Samsung SC-HDX15 is the world's first flash-based HD-camcorder. Featuring 4GB of built-in memory and 720P/1280 HD quality video recording, the Samsung HDX15 is the camcorder of choice for 2006. HDTV lovers will appreciate its extensive feature line-up including the generous 2.7 inch LCD and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) that minimizes shaking for a smooth, clear picture.

The Samsung SC HDX15 also offers USB 2.0 for easy PC connectivity and an HDMI for simultaneous transfer of uncompressed audio and video signal over a single cable, optimizing file transmission to HD devices. The Samsung SC-HDX15 HD camcorder model also comes with a compact flash expansion slot which provides additional storage. The Samsung HDX15 will carry a suggested retail price of $1799.00 and will be available in August, 2006.
