The guys from Imaging Resource produced an in-depth review of the Olympus Camedia C-5060 WIDE ZOOM camera. This Olympus model is very interesting and is getting a lot of attention from our readers. The C-5060 WIDE ZOOM is a 5 Megapixels camera and starts with a length of 27mm (35mm camera equivalent)! The total focal length is 27-110mm. Besides its interesting optical zoom the C-5060 WIDE ZOOM camera also lives through its design features, such as the multi-angle high-resolution LCD monitor which, fixed to a flexible hinge, can be tilted up and swivelled round by 270°! The dual AF system ensures that objects are perfectly focussed, and four different exposure modes (P, S, A and M) should guarantee all-round photography.

The Olympus C-5060 WIDE ZOOM is also compatible with a range of CAMEDIA system accessories, like - via a hot shoe - external flash systems, a power grip, filters as well as a tele and wide angle lens converter.
According to Imaging Resource: "The C-5060 Zoom also sports an autofocus assist illuminator that may be enabled or not, at the user's discretion, greatly extending the camera's usefulness for low-light shooting, and a range of focus control options.", " The C-5060 performed very well on the "laboratory" resolution test chart" and "The fine adjustments possible for contrast and saturation make it possible to customize the camera to meet your specific shooting preferences, and the ability to dial-in separate "tweaks" for each of its white balance settings is an unusual and highly welcome feature."
